There is always an
assignment, project, homework or reading to be done.
Have your heard or said this yourself, “The instructor
of each of my classes piles on homework as though this
is the only class I have”?
Your success in this
your current primary occupation (being
a student) requires you to manage your time!
If you don’t manage you time well, you will not achieve
the high academic levels that you aspire.
Additionally, you
will make your time in school more difficult.
Failure:
These in turn
reduces your ability to effectively study thus sending
you into a downward spiral.
How can you avoid
this trap? How can you manage your time better? In this
webpage we will take a look at the first step in time
management. “Failure to plan is planning to fail”. I
don’t know to whom to attribute this quote but I would
like you to consider its validity. In terms of time
management, what is your plan?
I would like to you answer this question, “How much time
do you really have”? Please download the
time survey and
fill it out.
It is a simple 24/7 time
survey; a written articulation of your plan for academic
success.
Please note
that you CANNOT MAXIMIZE time usage to 100%.
You should build in some flexible time under the
(P) heading.
Upon
completion and reflection of the survey, how realistic
is your plan?
-
Do you
have time that can be use if you run into
trouble?
Does that
time come from time allocated to another class?
So how much time
do you really have ???
